Keep your business going during lockdown ...

What a crisis! With businesses closing their doors temporarily due to the coronavirus outbreak, many of us are facing a time of crisis and long hard road ahead.

First and foremost, I'd like to point out that we've made our consultations entirely free for the next couple of weeks to offer free help and advice to businesses looking for help and support during this time. I'll speak with you about how you can use social media, your website, Google My Business and more to continue to obtain leads and sales and prepare for getting back into work in a few weeks.

You can book a free chat online here.

Now onto the main points of this article! What can you be doing to support your business online through this time?

Create or make improvements to your website

Now is the perfect time to sit down and get on with those niggling website changes you've been meaning to make for the last three years. Even if you think your site is looking awesome, I'm sure there are changes you can make to help with conversion rate optimisation (CRO).

Check out these top website design tips from a marketers perspective.

Work on your SEO

A remotely similar point to the above, once your website is in tip-top condition, you can make a start on moving forward with improving your SEO and search engine results.

If you're a business looking to advertise in your local area, you'll need local SEO. Local SEO focuses on increasing your search engine visibility primarily within your local area. This is perfect if you are a local store, restaurant, gym etc. Now is the ideal time to work on your SEO and get yourself to the top of the search results ready to business to pick back up again in a few weeks time.

Take a look at these top 10 tips for growing your local business via SEO.

Set up and optimise your Google My Business profile

I LOVE GOOGLE MY BUSINESS. It's one of my favourite online business tools, and here at CC Digital, we've found we can increase a website's traffic by 300% or more just by optimising Google My Business alone.

Check out these 4 Google My Business tweaks to maximise visibility.

Make the best use of Social Media

I wrote about this just the other day, but it's 100% worth mentioning again here. There are more people on social media right now than ever before, and they're spending even more time on the platforms than normal. Make use of this. Content has never been as crucial as it is right now, and I can not express this enough.

Work on your email marketing

Email marketing is a fantastic tool, and now is a great time to build your mailing list and schedule content for the coming months. Use the social media and SEO tips from above to continue to build your mailing list - this is especially easy via social platforms such as Instagram and Pinterest. Then take some time to schedule in a couple of months worth of emails or create some drafts and templates for later in the year.

Remember, if you want personalised help and advice, my calendar is open for free consultations across the next couple of weeks.
